    LUNA App: The smart solution for mobile workflows and insightful reports

    Those who want to make personnel and business processes more transparent and flexible often find that mobile use is the decisive lever—and this is exactly where the new LUNA app comes in.
    The app really comes into its own in workflow management: recording working hours, checking incoming invoices, processing internal requests, and issuing approvals—all of this can be done with just a few clicks directly on your smartphone. With the LUNA app, your documents are always accessible and custom reports on your company’s key figures can be generated. Push notifications ensure that new tasks are immediately visible and nothing gets left behind.

    In HR, we offer the LUNA app as a mobile addition to our proven moonsoft HR suite, bringing essential HR processes directly to smartphones.
    From time tracking and travel management to access to calendars and personal documents, LUNA supports employees with numerous self-service functionalities and makes HR processes even more efficient, regardless of location or internet connection.

    Checking in and out of work can be done with a simple click, even if there is no Wi-Fi or mobile network available. The app records times in offline mode and automatically synchronizes as soon as a connection is reestablished. This means that no minutes need to be added manually.

    Requesting and approving absences
    Employees request absences directly in the app—whether for vacation, time off in lieu, administrative procedures, or sick leave. Relevant documents, such as doctor’s notes, can be provided directly via the document upload function in the request form. LUNA not only makes it easy to submit requests, but also to approve them. Managers receive all bookings as an approval workflow on their smartphone and approve them with a single click.

    Digital personnel file – documents always at hand

    Employees can use the app to access their digital personnel files and view and download documents—conveniently while on the go. Managers also have access to relevant documents and approval workflows. Role-based access rights ensure that sensitive personnel data remain protected.

    Travel management made simple, fast, and digital

    Travel is part of everyday life in many companies – with the LUNA app, travel requests and expense reports can be handled entirely on the go. The app offers impressive travel management features such as digital receipt scanning, GPS-based route tracking, and mileage recognition, which allows mileage to be transferred directly to the app via photos.

    LUNA will soon be available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

    New Employer Dashboard provided by ÖGK

    The Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK) launched a new employer dashboard online in October. Following the motto “One place. All information. All services.”, the ÖGK provides a modern, user-friendly online experience.

    The central platform at www.gesundheitskasse.at/dgdashboard offers employers a clear, personalized overview of all important ÖGK affairs—from payments, applications and balances to news and quick links. The platform can be accessed via a secure ID Austria login.

    Widgets for the following applications are currently available on the DG dashboard: Contribution account, contractor account, applications (e.g., clearance certificates), mailbox, clearing, international, news, search and help.

    According to the ÖKG, the range of services is being continuously expanded.

  • 10 years of moonsoft HR Solutions GmbH

    We are celebrating our anniversary! It has been 10 years since moonsoft HR Solutions GmbH was founded by Matthias Mann and Maria Zeitlberger.

    As long-time colleagues at an HR software provider, the two decided to found their own company in 2015. A logical step to realize their extensive experience in development and consulting in their own software. With Ramsauer & Stürmer Software GmbH (now Aptean Austria GmbH), they found renowned support for their project.

    Since then, the company and its founders have pursued a clear goal: to develop
    HR solutions that best meet the needs of our customers and support them with powerful functions that make day-to-day HR work fun. The result is one of the most modern HR solutions on the Austrian market: simple, intuitive, completely flexible and available on mobile devices.

    The official anniversary celebration is still to come, but we have already received the award for 10 years of entrepreneurship in the IT sector from the Vienna Chamber of Commerce.

  • New software release- new functionalities

    As part of our first software release 2025 (versions 5.2.1. SP18 | 5.1.1. SP21 | 5.3.0.6), we have once again fine-tuned numerous functionalities.

    Among other things, reporting and the dynamic watch list were enhanced with additional functionalities and the control option for recording time data and travel expense reconciliation were further developed.

    Our focus in this release was on the implementation of the interface to BUAK (Bauarbeiter Urlaubs- und Abfertigungskasse). It now allows the direct processing of various reports, such as vacation, bad weather and resignation reports. Surcharge calculation and the import of feedback files for vacations have also been implemented in the release.

    We provide our customers with detailed information on the individual functionalities and all the new features included in the release in our release notes.
